Diaphragm Accumulator and Hydraulic Accumulator Nitrogen Charging System

Diaphragm accumulators are widely used in low flow-rate hydraulic systems to maintain steady pump flow and pressure, dampen vibration and shock, and compensate for leaks or thermal expansion. These accumulators store pressurized hydraulic fluid and release it as needed. Before they can be used, they need to be charged with nitrogen.

In addition to their primary function, diaphragm accumulators can also serve as a source of power in emergencies. They are completely sealed and can be mounted in any position, making them versatile and convenient to use.

Typically smaller than bladder or piston accumulators, diaphragm accumulators have an 8:1 compression ratio and are not repairable. They are most often employed in mobile hydraulic applications where high shock and vibration are encountered, such as forestry equipment, agricultural machinery, and machine tools.

To facilitate the use of diaphragm accumulators, a specialized multifunctional inflation tool has been developed. This tool is designed for inflating, adjusting air pressure, and checking the inflation pressure of the accumulator. It is equipped with different accumulator inflation valve threads, which can be easily interchanged by replacing the conversion joint.

The tool kit includes a toolbox, a multifunctional inflatable valve body with a pressure gauge, a shockproof stainless steel pressure gauge, a miniature high-pressure hose, and interchangeable connectors. The different joints have been carefully designed to accommodate various accumulator threads, including UNF7/8, UNF5/8, UNF5/16, UNF1/2, G1/4 (BSP1/4), M141.5, and M281.5.
